We are devastated that one of our favorite murals suffered a wall collapse. But, we’re grateful to report that no one was hurt. An exterior wall collapsed where a large crack suddenly appeared, leaving the building’s interior exposed. Thankfully, Atlanta Fire Department evacuated all businesses. The building has been deemed unsafe to enter and the collapse remains under investigation.
We’ll remember this powerful mural, gifted to the community by Tiffany LaTrice – artistic director and community organizer – as one of promise, pride, and deep respect for black minds and bodies.
